When selecting hydraulic oil for a hydraulic press, several key factors should be comprehensively considered. Below are the specific selection principles:
1. Oil Selection Based on Pressure and Temperature
For indoor fixed equipment:
When the hydraulic system pressure is below 7.0 MPa and the operating temperature is under 50°C, HL oil is a suitable choice.
If the system pressure ranges from 7.0–14.0 MPa and the temperature is below 50°C, either HL or HM oil can be used. For temperatures between 50–80°C, HM oil is recommended.
When the system pressure exceeds 14.0 MPa, opt for HM oil or high-pressure anti-wear hydraulic oil.
2. Consideration of Environmental Temperature
For equipment operating in outdoor cold regions or freezing zones, HV or HS oil is ideal. These oils are formulated to withstand low temperatures and ensure the hydraulic press functions smoothly in harsh cold environments.
3. Adaptation to Special Heat Source Environments
In hot weather conditions or when equipment is located near heat sources, select fire-resistant hydraulic oil. This type of oil minimizes the risk of spontaneous combustion due to high temperatures, ensuring operational safety.
4. Compliance with Environmental Requirements
For equipment with strict environmental standards (e.g., food machinery), use environmentally acceptable hydraulic oil. This helps prevent contamination and meets ecological protection regulations.
5. Matching Usage Cycle and Working Conditions
For hydraulic equipment with long service cycles and harsh operating conditions, choose premium-grade hydraulic oil to ensure durability and performance.
For equipment with short service cycles and mild working conditions, standard-grade hydraulic oil is sufficient to meet operational needs.
6. Special Lubrication System Requirements
When the hydraulic system shares a lubrication system with the guide rails, use hydraulic guide rail oil. This oil is designed to satisfy the lubrication needs of both systems simultaneously.
7. Compatibility with CNC Machines
For open-loop CNC machines using electro-hydraulic pulse motors, select CNC machine hydraulic oil.
For closed-loop systems with electro-hydraulic servo mechanisms, clean hydraulic oil is preferred to ensure precision and stability.
8. Protection of Silver-Containing Components
In hydraulic systems with silver components, use silver-resistant hydraulic oil. This type of oil prevents corrosion of silver parts, extending their service life and maintaining system reliability.
