The main process of brake pad production is hot pressing molding method, hot pressing process is traditionally divided into two categories: dry production process and wet production process. Commonly dry production process is the main, wet production process is not only more processes, long time, energy consumption, and equipment investment is larger, not widely used.
Dry production process is in the friction plate mixing process binder - resin or rubber in the form of powder. This process has the following characteristics:
1. The produced friction plate is a fiber powder mix.
2. Easy feeding in the process of pressing, easy to distribute evenly in the mold cavity, good fluidity, and can be made into a cold embryo using pre-molding process and then hot press molding.
3. The process is simple, and the product performance can be adjusted well.
4. During the mixing process, the fiber stretching is good, and the friction plate strength is high.
5. The cost of friction plate is low.
Due to the above advantages, the dry process method can meet the performance requirements of most of the friction pads nowadays.
