Brake Pad Hot Pressing Mould
1. Brake Pad Hot Pressing Mould is engineered to match the structure of disc brake pads, consisting of an upper mold and a lower mold.
2. During the hot-pressing process, the upper and lower molds close, applying heat and pressure to the brake pad raw materials within the cavity, which facilitates their solidification and shaping.
3. Our molds are fabricated using high-precision machining techniques. The cavity surfaces are meticulously ground and polished. It ensures a smooth finish on the brake pads.
4. Internal cooling channels are integrated into the molds. They enable rapid cooling after hot-pressing, significantly reducing the production cycle and boosting overall efficiency.
Brake pads production press
The production process of brake pads typically involves the following steps:
Material Prep: Select and weigh raw materials like friction substances, fillers, and bonding agents, then mix them precisely. (such as organic, semi-metallic, and ceramic)
Mixing: Thoroughly blend the materials in a mixer under specific temperature and time conditions.
Pre-forming: Put the mixed material into the Brake Pad Hot Pressing Mould and shape it under pressure.
Hot Pressing: Place the pre-formed piece in the hot-pressing mold. High temperature and pressure solidify the bonding agents and combine components.
Cooling: Slowly cool the hot-pressed pads to room temperature.
Trimming: Cut the edges to meet size requirements and sand the surface.
Backing Plate Assembly: Attach the backing plate to the friction material using glue or rivets.
Quality Check: Inspect size, shape, surface quality, and test friction, wear, and heat resistance.
Packaging: Package the qualified brake pads with labels and instructions.
