Brake Pad Test Machine
This brake pad test machine is used to perform towing performance tests on brakes and brake pads for light vehicles and passenger cars. It is equivalent to the KRAUSS test method.
Test Standards
The machine complies with the following standards:
GB/T 34007-2017, VDA 285-1, ECE R90, P-VW3212, P-VW3211, as well as sample test standards for commercial vehicles, railway systems, and industrial friction materials.
Basic Functions
* Fully replicates all test functions of a standard KRAUSS testing machine;
* Capable of performing constant torque tests;
* Optional static torque test (including parking brake test);
* Optional water spray test;
* Fully computer-controlled; users can define custom standard and non-standard test specifications;
* Outputs standard test curves and supports test report printing.
Working Principle
The brake pad test machine uses a drag method to assess the friction performance of brake friction materials. Brake pads are mounted on the test system and brought into contact with a rotating brake disc (or drum). By applying specific pressure and torque, the machine simulates real-world braking conditions.
During the test, parameters such as friction between the brake pad and disc (or drum), braking temperature, and material wear are measured and recorded. This data is used to evaluate both the friction performance and wear characteristics of the brake pad under various conditions.
