Workflow of rubber injection molding machine

Oct 17, 2024

1. Raw material preparation: During the entire working process of the rubber injection molding machine, the raw materials need to be prepared first. This involves preparing solid rubber or preformed rubber parts for subsequent processing.

2. Plasticization and injection: These rubber materials are then heated to a softened state by the plasticizing device of the machine, a process called plasticization. The plasticized rubber material has a certain fluidity and is then injected into the mold cavity through the injection device. During the injection process, the parameters such as the pressure, speed, and time of the injection device need to be strictly controlled to ensure that the rubber material can fill the mold cavity and avoid defects such as bubbles or insufficient injection.

3. Mold closure and vulcanization: After the rubber material is injected into the mold, the mold is closed, and high pressure is applied to form the rubber material into the desired shape in the mold. During this process, the vulcanization reaction begins to occur, and the control of vulcanization conditions (such as temperature, time, and pressure) is crucial to the performance of the final product. The vulcanization process cross-links the rubber material to form a network structure, thereby obtaining the required elasticity and strength.
