The CNC Disc Brake Grinding Machine is designed for grinding car brake pads. This equipment features six main working stations: slotting (grooving), coarse grinding, fine grinding, chamfering, and a turnover device. The working stations are as follows:
Guide Device: Feeds the brake pads into the machine
Slotting Station: Creates single/double straight or angled grooves
Coarse Grinding Station: Performs rough grinding on the brake pad surface
Fine Grinding Station: Grinds the surface according to drawing specifications
Double-Sided Chamfer Stations: Apply chamfers to both sides of the brake pad
Turnover Device: Flips the brake pads for the next process

1. Model Storage & Automation
The CNC Disc Brake Grinding Machine can store over 1,500 brake pad models in its computer system. For a new brake pad model, the operator only needs to input all relevant parameters via the touchscreen during the initial setup and save them. In the future, selecting that model from the system will automatically load the preset parameters, allowing the machine to operate accordingly. Compared to traditional grinding machines that require manual adjustment via a handwheel, this system significantly improves production efficiency.
2. Robust Machine Body
The CNC Disc Brake Grinding Machine's frame is integrally processed and formed, with a total weight of around 6 tons. This robust construction ensures excellent structural stability, which in turn enhances grinding precision.
3. Touchscreen Control Interface
All parameters are managed via a user-friendly touchscreen interface. The operating system is divided into three main sections for ease of use:
3.1 Main Screen: Used to start and stop the machine, and monitor its operating status and any alarms.
3.2 Maintenance Screen: Allows manual control of each servo motor mechanism and the start/stop of the grinding, chamfering, and slotting motors. It also monitors torque, speed, and position of the servo motors.
3.3 Parameter Screen: Used to input basic parameters for each workstation, including acceleration and deceleration settings for the servo mechanisms.
4. Adaptability to Complex Models
Some brake pad models feature angled slots, V-shaped chamfers, or irregular chamfers- features that are difficult to process on conventional grinding machines and may require 2–3 separate processing steps, resulting in low efficiency. Thanks to its servo motor-driven system, the CNC Disc Brake Grinding Machine can handle various groove and chamfer designs in a single step. It is suitable for both OEM and aftermarket brake pad production.
